Large Northbrook based automotive manufacturer specializing in CNC and multi-spindle precision machining is seeking an Experienced CNC Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment. Performs routine facilities maintenance.DutiesMaintain plant machinery and equipment following a preventive maintenance schedule in order to keep equipment functioning at maximum efficiency and reliabilityAnalyze and trouble-shoot equipment problems as they occurMake recommendations to improve quality, efficiency, safety, or communicationMake enhancements to equipment in collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance and Production ManagersUpdate equipment maintenance log promptly and accurately so records are complete and available for each piece of equipmentMaintain tool room to ensure availability of tools, equipment and supplies necessary to perform maintenance functionsMaintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine facilities maintenance. Does not get involved in plumbing or electrical work, but coordinates work by sub-contractors working closely with Maintenance Manager and Production ManagersFollow all safety practices and immediately corrects or reports unsafe or hazardous conditionsRequirements5+ Years of CNC and manufacturing maintenanceProficient knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens Controls machinery and equipment maintenanceFamiliar with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing workProgrammable Logic Controller (PLC) troubleshooting a plusAble to read and interpret maintenance schedules, technical drawings, machine schematics and troubleshooting manualsUnderstands the importance and is diligent with maintaining maintenance logsAble to climb ladders, stoops, bends and otherwise able to access all areas of machinery and equipment to perform maintenanceWe offer a 401k plan, United Health Care Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance and other benefits.
