Job Description
Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational environment. You’ll provide essential services as a substitute for the first twelve weeks of the school year (August 10th through the end of October), bridging the gap for an SLP on FMLA leave. This contract role is ideal for skilled SLPs—CCC certified—who thrive in collaborative settings and are equipped for a larger caseload, thanks to the assistance of an assigned Speech-Language Assistant (SLA).
This assignment covers two elementary buildings, with a caseload of approximately 117 students. Candidates who are experienced in both on-site and VOCO (virtual/teletherapy) service delivery are warmly welcomed. Your expertise will help ensure continuity of care and successful outcomes for students in two engaging school communities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current CCC certification
- Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP in Indiana
- Recent experience with school-based caseloads, preferably in elementary settings
- Comfortable managing a larger caseload with the support of a Speech-Language Assistant
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms for VOCO services, or open to learning
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech/language services to assigned students, both in person and remotely if needed
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement IEPs
- Supervise and guide the assigned SLA while delivering effective therapy
- Monitor student progress and submit timely evaluations and reports
- Maintain compliance with state and school regulations
