Step into a rewarding contract role as an Occupational Therapist supporting K-12 students during a maternity leave near Richmond, VA. This full-time opportunity runs from as soon as credentialing is complete through October 23rd, 2026, aligning with the upcoming school year calendar. Begin making an impact as early as mid-August, with the flexibility to negotiate your schedule—the standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, but adjustments can be accommodated.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to facilitate students’ access to their curriculum
- Assess and deliver occupational therapy services for a diverse caseload of K-12 students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans to foster student success in the classroom and beyond
- Provide input for IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing documentation and progress tracking
- Offer support in a range of settings, from traditional classrooms to home or community environments, as part of a holistic approach
Ideal candidates will bring:
- Experience with school-based occupational therapy across multiple grade levels
- Flexibility to adapt services for both in-school and home health needs
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
