Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled Physical Therapist seeking a contract role in an education-based setting. This position begins as soon as possible and extends through May 26, 2027, providing services for students from Pre-K through age 22. With a manageable caseload of approximately 13 students and only 20 hours required each month, this role offers a highly flexible schedule ideal for those balancing multiple commitments.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Texas
- Previous experience or genuine interest in school-based PT services
- Ability to effectively support a broad range of ages, from preschoolers to young adults
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside educators, parents, and other service providers
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop tailored treatment plans to promote student mobility, access, and participation in the school environment
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Track progress and maintain clear, thorough documentation and reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP development as needed
- Consult with teachers and families on strategies to support students’ physical development and functional independence
