Job Description

Make a meaningful impact working with students in a supportive and collaborative educational environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to work across multiple sites (up to three in total, with final locations to be determined), dividing your time each week between two vibrant campuses. Over the course of the school year, you’ll join a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting approximately 33 students in life skills programming.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

  • Hold SLP-CCC credentials and have experience working in school settings
  • Knowledge and experience with feeding and swallowing (safe eating)
  • Proficiency with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
  • Insightful understanding of supporting students with special needs, behaviors, and life skills programming
  • Collaborative spirit with the ability to work closely with special education staff, paraprofessionals, and assistants
  • Comfortable managing a caseload with students ranging from high needs to those focused on socialization and behavioral goals
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy for students in both life skills and behavioral support programs
  • Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to individual student needs, focusing on communication, feeding, and AAC
  • Collaborate with support staff, special educators, and the broader SLP team (virtually and in-person)
  • Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Split your weekly schedule between two campuses, ensuring seamless service delivery and continuity of care
  • Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to team planning

Imagine walking into a workplace where teamwork, respect, and mission-driven work are the norm. Support is always just a call or message away—benefiting from both on-site assistance and monthly team check-ins.
