Speech Language Pathologist in Kansas City, KS

Enjoy a consistent weekly schedule—typically 7:35 AM to 3:35 PM, with room for slight flexibility to accommodate your needs—and the option for full-time or part-time hours, depending on your preference.

Anticipated start date is as soon as possible. The assignment runs through December, with the potential to extend for the remainder of the school year after a review in November, ensuring transparency for your planning.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current license and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), appropriate for school settings
• Experience working with middle and/or high school students, including those receiving special education services
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and data-driven therapy planning
• Strong collaboration skills for working alongside teachers, administrators, and families
• Adaptability and understanding of center-based programs and their unique service delivery models

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, with a focus on those in center-based programs
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement treatment sessions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help students develop communication skills and access curriculum
• Document progress according to school and state requirements
• Support and consult with teachers and staff to maximize student success in inclusive settings
