Job Description

The Construction Inspector will perform on-site inspections and detailed documentation of subcontractors completing electrical replacement work, ensuring that all activities meet project requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections of subcontractors performing electrical replacement work to verify compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
  • Use appropriate inspection equipment to examine electrical installations and replacement activities for quality, safety, and accuracy.
  • Document inspection findings thoroughly, including work completed, any deficiencies observed, and corrective actions required.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily inspection activities, observations, and progress for reporting and project tracking purposes.
  • Communicate inspection results clearly to relevant project stakeholders to support timely resolution of issues and adherence to project timelines.
  • Monitor ongoing electrical construction activities to ensure consistent quality and alignment with established guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in construction inspection with a focus on electrical work.
  • Strong understanding of electrical inspection practices and standards.
  • Ability to operate and use inspection equipment effectively in a construction environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting inspection findings and project progress.
  • Ability to work independently on-site and make sound judgments based on observations.
  • Effective communication skills to convey inspection results and collaborate with subcontractors and project teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with documentation processes and reporting in construction projects.
  • Capability to interpret basic construction and electrical work scopes.

Work Environment

This role is based on-site in an active construction environment, focusing on inspection work related to electrical replacements. The Construction Inspector will spend most of the time in the field, moving between work areas, observing subcontractor activities, and using inspection equipment to verify installations. Work hours may follow typical construction schedules, and the role requires comfort working around construction materials, tools, and electrical components while adhering to all safety protocols.

This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $58.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
