Job Description
Exciting opportunity for an experienced or new graduate Speech-Language Pathologist to make a direct impact in an engaging preschool setting. This contract position offers the chance to work with a dedicated group of young learners, providing essential speech and language support at a single site near Commerce, GA.
Your primary focus will be delivering high-quality, in-person speech therapy and conducting evaluations for preschoolers, ages 3 to 5. With a manageable caseload of approximately 30–35 students, you'll have the opportunity to foster meaningful progress and build strong relationships with both students and educational staff.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid or pending Speech-Language Pathology license for the state
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY credential, or eligibility for supervision, required
- School-based SLP experience preferred, but strong clinical fellows are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated knowledge in conducting thorough speech/language assessments and crafting individualized treatment plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to preschool-aged students on-site each week
- Complete evaluations and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals in collaboration with team members
- Document student progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Implement best practices tailored to the unique needs and developmental stages of early learners
