Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 Hours/Week
Assignment: Full School Year

We’re hiring a Special Education Teacher to support a Middle School Life Skills classroom for the 2026–2027 school year!

This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys creating a structured, supportive environment and helping students build meaningful academic, functional, behavioral, and life skills.

Position Details:

• Middle School Life Skills classroom
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Full school-year assignment
• Provide individualized instruction based on student needs and IEP goals
• Support development of functional academics, communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and individualized learning strategies
• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation
• Collaborate with related service providers, school staff, and families
• Create a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages student independence

Requirements:

• Appropriate Kansas Special Education teaching license/certification required
• Experience working in a Life Skills or similar specialized classroom preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to support students with a variety of learning and developmental needs
