Director of Pharmacy - Jbsa Lackland, Texas

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare facility located in Jbsa Lackland, TX is seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy who will also serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) on a contract basis. This role supports a licensed bed capacity of over 300, with an average daily census between 6 and 11 patients, primarily within behavioral health specialty areas.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• On-call duties after each shift and on weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage staffing and oversee all administrative duties associated with the Pharmacist-in-Charge role
• Ensure the smooth operation of pharmacy services and compliance with regulatory standards
• Utilize order entry system (HCS) and site automation (Omnicell) with provided training
• Provide leadership and support within a small team consisting of one full-time and one per diem pharmacist

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience with Omnicell automation systems
• Texas pharmacist licensure is required to practice in this role

• Onsite training will be provided to ensure familiarity with site-specific systems and workflow
• The position requires coverage starting September 1, 2026, and will continue until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired
