Job Description
An established hospital with 300 beds seeks a skilled inpatient pharmacist to fill an overnight shift on a 7-on/7-off schedule. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with hands-on experience in an inpatient setting and familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records.
Location: Mendon, IL (near Quincy)
Schedule/Hours:
- Overnight shift, approximately 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 7 days on, followed by 7 days off
Duration: 13 weeks or more, starting ASAP
Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispensing and verifying medications for hospitalized patients
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication regimens
- Managing pharmacy inventory and ensuring timely access to medications during the overnight hours
- Utilizing EPIC and Omnicell systems for medication documentation and delivery
- Providing expert consultation on medication therapy and safety protocols
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Illinois
- Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience
- Experience working with EPIC electronic health records preferred
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during overnight hours
