Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This full-time position is designed to provide specialized services across elementary education classrooms, primarily focusing on articulation and fluency needs. You will cover a leave from early September through late November, with the possibility of extension. The role is based in an engaging educational setting near the Rochester, NY area, allowing you to make a significant difference during a formative stage in students’ development.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure and ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Strong foundation in supporting articulation and fluency interventions
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Adaptability to work full-time across various education classrooms at the elementary level

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary students, focusing on articulation and fluency goals
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to provide integrated educational and therapeutic services
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain thorough and timely progress reports and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with families and provide resources as needed to support student success
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, supportive environment
