School-Based Physical Therapist - Converse, Texas
Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity working with a diverse group of students ranging from Pre-K through young adults up to 22 years old. This flexible role allows you to provide essential physical therapy services in an educational setting, supporting approximately 13 students each month. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your students’ growth and development while enjoying a manageable, part-time schedule of about 20 hours per month.
Key Requirements:
- Active physical therapy license
- Experience with pediatric populations, ideally within an educational or school setting
- Comfort developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to work independently and manage a small, diverse caseload
Your Role Includes:
- Delivering direct and consultative physical therapy services to a caseload of students ages Pre-K through 22
- Creating and adjusting student goals, progress notes, and documentation for IEP meetings
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and other educational professionals to promote students’ access and participation in school activities
- Providing training and support to school staff regarding appropriate accommodations and positioning
- Monitoring student progress and providing periodic updates to relevant stakeholders
This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through late May 2027, giving you the opportunity to develop meaningful, long-term relationships with students and their support teams. Directors are available to meet for interviews on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after 1:30pm to discuss fit and answer questions.
