Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing crucial support to school-aged learners! Two full-time contract opportunities are available, each offering a unique and rewarding caseload.
As a skilled SLP, your work will directly impact communication and academic outcomes. One opening serves a K–5 elementary setting, focusing on direct therapy, evaluations, and managing IEPs for a diverse young student population. The second opening supports a K–12 environment, specializing in students with disabilities, where you’ll bring adaptive communication strategies and collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in North Carolina
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- School-based SLP experience, with focus on elementary or specialized populations
- Strong IEP management, evaluation, and direct therapy skills
- Compassionate, flexible, and collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy in group and individual settings
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and related documentation
- Provide consultative support and collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Utilize AAC and adaptive methods to support complex communication needs (as applicable)
- Maintain detailed records and progress reports in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
