Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist with strong inpatient pharmacy experience at a major Los Angeles County Department of Health hospital. This contract position is designed for highly qualified candidates, ideally those with a Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency or approximately two years of recent inpatient pharmacy practice. The role supports a large health system known for its outpatient clinics and hospital network, offering exposure to diverse clinical settings and patient populations.

Location: Los Angeles, CA
Job Type: Contract (temporary with temp-to-hire potential)
Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Flexible availability required for first and second shifts; occasional third shifts may be necessary

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services within the inpatient setting
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy
  • Ensure safe and effective medication distribution and management
  • Participate in patient care rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Desired Qualifications:

  • PGY1 residency strongly preferred; all well-qualified candidates with inpatient experience will be considered
  • Approximately two or more years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
  • Valid pharmacist license and current certification as required
  • Ability to pass a competency exam (one attempt only)
  • Successful completion of a background (Livescan) check
