CNC Programmer

A local manufacturer is currently looking for a highly driven qualified individual to fill the position of CNC Programmer. The ideal person will be able to program, set-up and troubleshoot CNC lathes and machining centers in a job shop environment for our Holland Ohio facility. Qualified candidate will have five years experience in NC machining and a good understanding of G code programming. Familiar with Okuma and Fadals, Fanuc mills, lathes and vertical machining centers. Should also be familiar with inventory control and ISO quality standards and systems. Preferred experience in working with master cam .

In this position you will be:

• Responsible for programming CNC machines from job routings on 2axis and 4 axis.
• Responsible for tooling lists furnished for setup personnel.
• Responsible for the most efficient way to run any given job.
• Working close with the production manager with job efficiencies and methodology.
• Troubleshooting problems incurred during setup or machine failure.
• Training new setup personnel in CNC machine functions.
• May fill temporary requirements as shift supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Set-up experience with Computer Numerical Control (CNC).
• Five years of NC machining experience.
• Familiar with g-code programming language.
• Technical high school diploma, machinist trade school or equivalent work experience.

Skills:

• Must be able to enter and read information in programming data base
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to use various measuring and gauging instruments associated to machine shop trades.
• Having the ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Has to be able to set, stand, climb, walk, and bend.
• Must be able to use calculator and computer keyboards, mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Must be able to lift various weights.
• Must be able to work in an environment with various metals and coolant.
