The Infant Toddler Teacher plays a pivotal role in nurturing young children's development within a small team environment. This position emphasizes a blend of play-based and structured lessons to support early learning milestones. The teacher is responsible for implementing curriculum, monitoring safety, managing behavior, and engaging in regular communication with parents to provide monthly updates on their child’s progress. Collaboration within a team of 2-5 educators and support for children’s growth is central to this role, with opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise classroom activities to ensure a safe and engaging environment
  • Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
  • Assess individual child development and learning progress
  • Maintain regular monthly communication with parents regarding child updates
  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities and experiences
  • Manage child behavior effectively within the classroom setting
  • Monitor safety and wellbeing of all children in the classroom
  • Keep accurate records on child development and classroom activities
  • Support children’s developmental needs through personalized attention
  • Collaborate with a small team of educators to provide a cohesive learning experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in early childhood education
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices
  • Classroom management skills
  • Experience in lesson planning
  • Strong communication and observation skills
  • Patience, creativity, and teamwork abilities
