Job Description
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating various mill and lathe CNC machines, including brands such as Makino Mills. You will perform G&M edits on Fanuc controllers, conduct tool changes, and perform basic troubleshooting on machines. Your work will involve utilizing setup sheets, blueprints, and manual measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. You will primarily work with materials like carbon steel, aluminum, brass, mild steel, and plastic, ensuring precision and quality in production.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage various mill and lathe CNC machines.
- Make G&M edits on Fanuc controllers and perform tool changes.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting on machinery.
- Work with setup sheets and blueprints for production tasks.
- Utilize manual measurement tools for precision tasks.
- Work with a variety of materials including carbon steel, aluminum, brass, and plastics.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of CNC setup experience or a trade school degree.
- Proficiency in shop math.
- Understanding of GD&T.
- Knowledge of G&M Codes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in CNC machining and mill machining.
- Ability to work with tight tolerances and perform mill and lathe setup operations.

Work Environment
You will work in a job shop environment that manufactures a variety of fluid power pumps using various Swiss machines and mills. The shop is well-organized, clean, and equipped with about 80 machines, fostering an efficient and collaborative work space.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $38.00/hr.
