Job Description
The Lead Demolition Technician leads and works alongside demolition crews on residential and commercial projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role combines hands-on demolition work with daily coordination, safety oversight, and crew leadership to deliver high-quality results and strong customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside demolition crews on residential and commercial projects.
- Coordinate daily tasks, assign work, and ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Perform selective demolition, interior demolition, and material removal safely and efficiently.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, demolition equipment, trucks, and trailers in a safe and controlled manner.
- Conduct regular job site safety inspections and enforce company safety standards.
- Identify construction materials and building systems to plan and execute demolition work appropriately.
- Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, and team members to support smooth project execution.
- Maintain clean, organized job sites, equipment, and company vehicles.
- Train, mentor, and support crew members while promoting a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Assist with loading, hauling, and disposal of demolition debris and materials in accordance with procedures.
- Ensure projects are completed with strong attention to quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience in demolition, construction, or remodeling.
- At least 1 year of experience as a crew lead, foreman, or in a supervisory role.
- 1+ years of experience operating hand tools, power tools, trucks, and trailers.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with construction tools and equipment.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in a construction or demolition setting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or construction plans.
- Strong understanding of job site safety practices and demolition best practices.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with customers, subcontractors, and team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on both residential and commercial construction or demolition projects.

Work Environment
This role primarily takes place on active construction and demolition sites. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belgrade, MT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.
