Lead Compounder
Position Overview
The Lead Compounder oversees daily compounding operations, ensuring batches are produced accurately, safely, and on schedule. This role also provides guidance and training to production team members.
Responsibilities
  • Lead daily compounding and ensure formulas, batch records, and schedules are followed.
  • Set up equipment, perform changeovers, and complete cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Measure, batch, and sample products accurately.
  • Train and support compounders on production, safety, and GMP procedures.
  • Complete and review production records and documentation.
  • Operate a forklift to move materials as needed.
  • Help troubleshoot equipment and production issues.
  • Ensure equipment is clean, maintained, and ready for use.
  • Communicate production updates and help meet daily production goals.
  • Support process improvements and special or trial batches.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 4–6 years of compounding or manufacturing experience required.
  • Previous lead or mentoring experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of batch records, measurements, equipment, and GMP procedures.
  • Ability to train others and communicate effectively.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
