Mechanical designer/drafter

Join an innovative company specializing in the design and manufacture of wall systems for retail, construction, showroom, hospitality, and medical environments. The Drafter/Designer will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, assemblies, and 3D models that support custom manufacturing projects from concept through production.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical drawings, assemblies, and 3D models based on project requirements and design specifications.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet manufacturing and quality standards.
  • Review and revise drawings to incorporate design changes and project updates.
  • Ensure drawings and documentation comply with applicable industry standards and building codes.
  • Manage drawing revisions and maintain organized project documentation within company systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Continuously improve drafting and modeling processes through the use of CAD best practices and evolving software tools.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in drafting, detailing, and 3D modeling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Experience creating production drawings, assemblies, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Vault, PDM systems, or similar CAD data management tools.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Revit.
  • Experience designing products for the fixture, architectural products, modular systems, or related industries.
  • Exposure to SolidWorks and the ability to adapt to Autodesk Inventor environments.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Design, or a related field.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
