Job Title: General Production Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling components according to detailed work instructions, operating production equipment and hand tools, and supporting paint system operations while consistently following established safety, quality, and work standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and production components accurately according to written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Load and unload tanks from paint systems in a safe and efficient manner, following all handling and process guidelines.
- Set up and operate production equipment to meet daily output and quality targets.
- Operate a variety of manual and automated hand tools, power tools, and assembly line equipment to complete assigned tasks.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet specifications.
- Support general production activities, including material handling, basic machine operation, and general labor tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety rules and guidelines, including proper use of tools, equipment, and lifting techniques.
- Adhere to quality standards by inspecting work, identifying defects, and reporting issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with workplace standards.
- Work effectively on a production line, coordinating with team members to meet schedule and performance goals.
Essential Skills
- Experience in assembly, general labor, or general production work, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to set up and operate production and assembly line equipment safely and efficiently.
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly tasks.
- Basic machine operation skills, including operating equipment related to production and paint systems.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure to verify part dimensions and ensure accuracy.
- Capability to perform forklift or material handling tasks if required by the role.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with frequent bending and reaching throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift 50–75 pounds with or without assistance on a regular basis.
- Ability to work 2nd shift with start times in the late afternoon or evening and end times up to 1:30 AM.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including a non-climate-controlled environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Ashland City, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
