Job Description
Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler on the 1st Shift from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of some overtime. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling electronic equipment or electronic subassemblies by reading and interpreting instructions, assembling parts, and using tools to fit electronic components.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and products.
- Use hand tools such as crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, and press fits.
- Mount assembled components like transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets on chassis panels.
- Connect component wires to circuits and connect wires between individual component leads.
- Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases, cabinets, and enclosures.
- Adjust or trim materials from components.
Essential Skills
- Experience in assembly, production, mechanical tasks, and using hand and power tools.
- Knowledge as an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, Electrical Assembler, or Mechanical Assembler.
- Proficiency in soldering, PCB, blueprint and schematic reading, and component assembly.
- Comfortable with material assembly and the ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports.
- Ability to clean parts thoroughly and review work activities with limited supervision.
- Experience in inspecting wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits.
- Capability to assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to appropriately tag and label components.
- Skill in adjusting electrical equipment.
- Experience in testing products to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Proficiency in building and assembling products, such as electric motors, microprocessors, electronic control devices, and sensing equipment.
- Experience in performing manual assembly during the production of electronic devices.
- Ability to fabricate or modify parts using shop equipment.
- Experience in verifying dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications using instruments like micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Skill in populating or modifying/replacing components on printed circuit board assemblies.
- Experience in testing functional performance.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
