Material Handler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team, responsible for hand filling spice bottles, packaging them into boxes, palletizing boxes, and preparing shipments.
Responsibilities- Hand fill spice bottles accurately and efficiently.
- Package filled bottles into boxes for shipment.
- Palletize boxes to ensure safe and organized transportation.
- Prepare shipments according to company standards.
- Communicate with management regarding low product levels.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality standards.
- Experience in general labor, material handling, and production.
- Ability to lift 20-30 lbs.
- Proficient in bending, twisting, and lifting.
- Basic reading and writing skills in English.
- Experience with RF scanners, loading, picking, and packaging.
- On-site training specific to job responsibilities, including equipment and machinery operation.

Work EnvironmentThis role operates in a manufacturing plant environment, working around moving mechanical parts and motorized vehicles, with exposure to airborne spice particles. The facility has a noticeable spice aroma, which employees typically acclimate to within a week. Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the first shift.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Ankeny, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
