This role focuses on assembling mechanical and electrical components for production equipment and systems in a climate-controlled facility. You will use hand and power tools to build frames, sub-assemblies, cooling systems, and enclosures, following detailed engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. The position requires precise mechanical alignment, accurate electrical wiring, and consistent in‑process quality checks to ensure every unit meets established standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble frames, sub-assemblies, cooling systems, and enclosure components using hand and power tools.
- Install mechanical hardware, busbars, brackets, cable trays, and structural components according to engineering drawings and build instructions.
- Perform accurate alignment of mechanical parts to meet specified tolerances..
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions accurately to guide assembly work.
- Conduct in‑process quality inspections to ensure assemblies meet all standards and specifications.
- Document assembly results and communicate issues or non‑conformances to engineering or project leads.
- Work from a tablet to locate and manage job orders and production information.
- Lift and move components and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.
- Assemble, modify, rework, and reassemble production components using drawings, pick tickets, process documentation, and verbal instructions.
- Perform repetitive and skilled assembly operations while maintaining quality and production standards.
- Conduct basic quality checks and identify defects or non‑conformances in assembled products.
- Use hand and power tools, including power screwdrivers, wire strippers, and crimpers, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with troubleshooting assembly or wiring issues using drawings, schematics, and process documentation.
- Perform general labor tasks related to mechanical and electrical assembly as needed.
- Enter basic computer data related to job orders, quality checks, and production status.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a climate-controlled production facility focused on data center-related assemblies. Team members must be open to working significant overtime. The environment involves standing for extended periods, performing repetitive assembly tasks, and using a variety of hand and power tools, including power screwdrivers, wire strippers, and crimpers. Work is performed at two possible locations within the same regional area, and employees use tablets and computers to access job orders and production documentation while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety‑focused workspace
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fountain Inn, SC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
