Job Description
Join a dynamic team that travels to future electrical substation sites to ensure successful assembly and installation of critical infrastructure. Utilize your skills in mechanical assembly and field installation to contribute to the development of state-of-the-art substations across various locations.
Responsibilities
- Travel to electrical substation sites as part of a team.
- Unload substations and transformers from trucks using cranes and forklifts.
- Stage and prepare components for assembly into full substations.
- Crane and lift components into place on concrete pads.
- Assemble transformers and substation components using cranes, forklifts, wrenches, and hand tools.
- Bolt large components together and perform mechanical assembly.
- Test units for correct assembly and functionality.
- Fill transformers with oil, vacuum pump them, and conduct testing (for Level 2 and Level 3 technicians).
Essential Skills
- Experience in mechanical assembly and field installation.
- Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical installation techniques.
- Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Experience in assembling large mechanical components such as vehicles, machinery, or electrical equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in technical assembly or maintenance.
- Experience as a field service technician.

Work Environment

Be prepared for sites without electricity, working alongside a dedicated crew to bring cutting-edge infrastructure to life.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Golden, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
