Job Description

The Cleanroom Technician works on a high-volume production line in the transmitter department to assemble and build continuous glucose monitoring systems. Responsibilities

  • Work in the cleanroom within the transmitter department to support production of continuous glucose monitoring systems.
  • Perform manual assembly tasks by moving components one by one down the production line.
  • Manually pair and attach applicators to transmitter pieces with high accuracy and consistency.
  • Package finished products for shipment to hospitals, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
  • Inspect products at each manufacturing stage to identify and report defects or nonconformities.
  • Learn and operate multiple stages of the manufacturing line, demonstrating proficiency in each area.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision once trained on each portion of the line.
  • Maintain the required pace of the production line and perform highly repetitive tasks without compromising quality.
  • Perform line clearances electronically and accurately enter production data into the Camstar application.
  • Follow all work instructions, build plans, SOPs, GMP, and GDP requirements without deviation.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with coworkers while working in close proximity on the manufacturing floor.
  • Support overtime needs as preferred, including working additional hours before the regular shift when requested.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of medical device manufacturing experience.
  • Previous assembly experience in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions precisely without deviation from build plans.
  • Ability to maintain focus and quality while performing repetitive tasks at a high production pace.
  • Comfort working with and following SOP, GMP, and GDP requirements.
  • Capability to learn and demonstrate proficiency across multiple manufacturing stages and operate independently.
  • Comfortable wearing full PPE and working in a cleanroom environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with electronic data entry and production tracking systems such as Camstar.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in close quarters with other employees.
  • Willingness to work preferred overtime, including additional hours before the scheduled shift.

Why Work Here?

You join a large, established medical device organization that offers a supportive, family-style culture and a strong focus on teamwork and quality. The role provides an excellent opportunity to grow your experience in a regulated environment while working with clear SOP, GMP, and GDP standards that help you build valuable, transferable skills. You benefit from structured processes, consistent hours, and the chance to contribute directly to products that support patient care.

Work Environment

This role is based in a cleanroom on the manufacturing floor, working first shift Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The environment is temperature-controlled and kept cold to maintain cleanroom standards. You work on a fast-paced, highly repetitive production line in a loud setting where side chatter is discouraged to maintain focus and quality. You will wear a full cleanroom suit provided by the employer, including mask, goggles, gloves, hair net, shoe covers, full bunny suit, and head cover. Strict contamination-control rules apply: makeup, jewelry, piercings, fake nails, and nail polish are not allowed on the manufacturing floor.
