Job Title: General Assembly 1st and 2nd Shift

Job Description

Join a growing, climate-controlled manufacturing facility in Delaware, Ohio as a General Assembler. In this role, you assemble large electrical power product bins, install and route cables, and build electrical and mechanical components using hand and power tools. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term projects, consistent overtime, and clear paths for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble large electrical bins (approximately 30x50 feet) used in power product manufacturing.
  • Run, route, and organize various cables throughout each bin according to drawings and instructions.
  • Install, fit, and secure electrical and mechanical components using hand and power tools.
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and prints to complete assembly work accurately.
  • Measure materials and components precisely using a tape measure and other basic measuring tools.
  • Perform mechanical assembly tasks, including fastening, drilling, and fitting parts as required.
  • Use drills and other power tools safely and effectively in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Work extended hours as needed, including regular overtime, to support long-term project demands.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety and quality procedures on the production floor.

Essential Skills

  • Strong mechanical inclination and aptitude for hands-on assembly work.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for precise measurements.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to interpret and follow drawings, prints, and simple blueprints for assembly tasks.
  • Reliability and consistency in attendance, punctuality, and meeting work commitments.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow established procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in construction or general contracting environments.
  • Experience in carpentry, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
  • Experience with auto mechanics or working on vehicles and mechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with wiring, cabling, and basic electrical assembly.
  • Prior mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with reading and working from blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Comfort using drills, air tools, and other power tools in a production setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
