Job Description
The Process Technician plays a crucial role in monitoring all polyurethane casting processes to ensure proper controls and procedures are maintained. This position requires establishing and implementing new controls as necessary, training plant personnel in machine operation and best practices, and assisting with process and machine troubleshooting. The role is detail-oriented, machinery-focused, and demands excellent documentation skills along with frequent communication in both written and verbal forms.
Responsibilities
- Experience with Baule machines is highly desirable.
- Set up, troubleshoot, and operate cast polyurethane dispensing machines throughout the facility.
- Assist the Chemist in dispensing machine changeovers to alternate materials.
- Train machine operators on the proper operation of dispensing machines.
- Collaborate with Chemist and Maintenance personnel on machine troubleshooting.
- Work towards the continuous improvement of existing processes and process controls.
- Apply knowledge of dispensing machine design and operation to assist in specification, installation, troubleshooting, and training.
- Train casting machine operators and poly assistants and monitor their adherence to established processes and processing techniques.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of post-high school training and experience.
- Experience with operating and troubleshooting polyurethane dispensing machines, especially modern Baule machines.
- Experience troubleshooting flowmeters and PLCs.
- Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of chemical processes, process controls, materials, and casting machine design and operation.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
