Job Title: PLC Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Controls/PLC Technician. You will be responsible for reading, troubleshooting, manipulating, and editing ladder logic for PLCs. The role involves working with a variety of equipment including band saws, laser cutters, heavy presses, grinders, and advanced robotic systems. Your expertise in reading blueprints, using volt meters, and knowledge of LOTO will be crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret ladder logic for PLCs.
  • Troubleshoot and edit PLCs effectively.
  • Work with machinery such as band saws, laser cutters, and robotic systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Use a volt meter and be knowledgeable in LOTO.
  • Install and troubleshoot new machinery electrically.
  • Utilize AutoCAD for machine drawings and updates.

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years of Industrial Multi-craft Maintenance experience.
  • 5+ years of Industrial Electric experience up to 480v 3-phase.
  • Proficiency in LOTO and new machine installation.
  • Ability to read and follow ladder logic and manipulate controllers.
  • Experience with Siemens PLCs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Own basic hand tools and tool box.
  • Ability to use a tablet for logging work orders and repairs.
  • Experience in PLC Programming with the person and Siemens.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD for updating prints.
  • Ability to program and troubleshoot ABB, Motoman, and Fanuc robots.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhart, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.88 - $44.55/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
