Assistant Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team due to an unexpected early retirement. This role involves supporting projects along the East Coast, with the flexibility to work from either Baltimore or Virginia Beach offices. The position requires frequent travel to job sites for meetings and coordination.
Responsibilities- Support the Project Manager with all contract documents.
- Communicate with subcontractors regarding all paperwork, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Collaborate with the team to create project budgets and schedules.
- Utilize Procore and other project management software to upload necessary documents.
- Attend on-site progress meetings and communicate effectively with leadership.
- Experience with contract documents and construction management.
- Proficiency in Procore and other project management software.
- Ability to manage construction documents, RFIs, and commercial construction projects.
- Skills in project engineering and project scheduling.
- Experience in subcontractor selection.
- Strong skills in budget creation and scheduling.
The position involves working both in the office and on-site with the project team. The office environment is small, with fewer than 10 people, allowing for close collaboration. Expect heavy travel to various job sites. This opportunity offers a chance to join a newly independent general contractor with significant growth potential and a large project portfolio.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
