Job Title: Maintenance PM Mechanic (I, II, or III)Job Description

We are seeking skilled Maintenance PM Mechanics to fill three vacancies, with opportunities for advancement based on skill level. Positions are available for both day and swing shifts, with a focus on maintaining and repairing production machinery, including CNC machining centers. The role involves preventive maintenance, simple machine repairs, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the Supervisor, Unit Specialist, or trainer to perform advanced preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, including lubrication and cleaning, to ensure production areas meet performance, ergonomic, and safety standards.
  • Inspect machinery and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Collaborate with maintenance leadership and senior mechanics to receive direction on projects.
  • Adjust equipment backlash as part of the preventive maintenance routine.
  • Perform light machine repairs, fabrication, and welding as assigned.
  • Mentor and train other mechanics on preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Participate actively in the department's continuous improvement efforts, focusing on permanent problem resolutions.
  • Maintain maintenance records in the CMMS (CribMaster) and order preventive maintenance supplies as necessary.
  • Comply with all safety, OSHA, and DEQ requirements.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of related mechanical or technical work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new measuring equipment.
  • Capability to learn and adhere to preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout protocols.
  • Ability to follow instructions and troubleshoot problems.
  • Proficient in using and interpreting machine part books and manuals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of direct machinery maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with micrometers, dial indicators, and heat monitoring guns.
  • CNC maintenance experience.
  • Previous experience with PM schedules.
  • Strong background in hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Fabrication experience, including MIG/TIG welding and operating mills and lathes.
  • Understanding of tolerance requirements on production machinery.
  • HazMat certification or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment.

Work Environment

The position offers two day shift vacancies and one swing shift vacancy, with a 9% shift differential for swing shifts. Day shifts run from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, while swing shifts operate from 3:20 pm to 1:50 am. The work involves engaging with advanced production machinery and maintaining a safe and compliant environment, requiring the use of various hand and power tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $89440.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
