Fulfillment Technician
Job Description
As a Fulfillment Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate filling and compounding of medications, including ointments. Your role will involve working closely with nursing staff to confirm dosages, filling prescriptions for a facility that services 1000 beds, and labeling prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Fill and compound medications, including ointments.
- Communicate with nursing staff to confirm medication dosages.
- Accurately fill prescriptions for a facility servicing 1000 beds.
- Label prescriptions following pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Work within either the daily fill or cycle fill departments.
- Prepare daily fill prescriptions for immediate shipping.
- Fill cycle prescriptions into blister cards and bottles for 30+ day supply.
- Experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Proficiency in handling medications and prescriptions.
- Strong communication skills for phone work with nursing staff.
- Ability to adhere to pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred.
- Experience in a long-term care pharmacy setting.
The position operates within a long-term care pharmacy, servicing nursing homes, assisted living, and group homes. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with rotating shifts between 7am - 7pm. Technicians are also required to work one weekend every four weeks, with Saturday hours from 9:00am to 3:00pm and Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Employees receive one day off during the week leading up to their weekend shift and a reduced shift by half an hour on other days. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans and t-shirts, but requires closed-toe shoes. Shorts must be knee-length, and open shoulder shirts are not permitted.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
