Job Description
This role involves assembling mechanical and electrical components using hand and power tools in a clean, well-lit manufacturing facility in the northern Indianapolis area. You will read basic blueprints, follow standardized processes, and help maintain an organized work area while working primarily on 1st shift.
Responsibilities
- Use pneumatic and hand tools, such as ratchets, torque guns, and putty knives, to assemble a variety of mechanical and electrical components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints to correctly assemble products and ensure components are positioned and fastened accurately.
- Follow established assembly procedures and work instructions to maintain consistent quality and productivity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S principles, including sorting, setting in order, shining, standardizing, and sustaining.
- Stand for extended periods and regularly lift, move, and position materials and components throughout the shift.
- Inspect assembled components for proper fit, alignment, and function, and report any defects or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Work collaboratively with team members and support continuous improvement efforts in the assembly process.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly or a closely related production role.
- Ability to safely and effectively use pneumatic tools and power tools, including torque guns and similar equipment.
- Proficiency with common hand tools such as ratchets, putty knives, and related assembly tools.
- Capability to read and understand basic blueprints and assembly drawings.
- Familiarity with 5S or similar workplace organization and cleanliness practices.
- Ability to stand for the majority of the shift and lift materials as required by the role.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, or general mechanic work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Comfort working with both mechanical and electrical components during assembly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow standardized processes and safety procedures.
- Willingness to support team goals and adapt to changing production needs.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Noblesville, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
