Forklift Operator
Job Description
Join a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse team where safety, quality, and efficiency are top priorities. We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to support production, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability, competitive pay, and multiple shift options.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trailers while ensuring product integrity and accurate shipment counts.
- Stage, move, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Ensure all units are properly banded, labeled, and equipped with visible load tags.
- Perform visual quality inspections and verify inventory and shipment quantities.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and production paperwork.
- Read production schedules and prepare the correct materials for upcoming production runs.
- Handle paper rolls and materials safely according to company standards and operating procedures.
- Assist with inspecting, peeling, and preparing damaged rolls for processing when needed.
- Prepare butt rolls and other materials for return to designated storage areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and immediately report accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
- Complete required safety training and maintain excellent attendance and dependability.
- Support warehouse and production teams with additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
- Experience loading and unloading trailers safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Experience with LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) shipping procedures and documentation required.
- Ability to accurately complete paperwork and maintain inventory records.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift, move, and transport materials in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable work history with strong attendance and teamwork skills.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cottage Grove, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
