The Burns & McDonnell office in Fort Worth, TX seeks an Electrical CAD Technician to support technical teams of detailers, designers, and engineers in creating top-tier details for diverse projects. The role involves aiding in the development of computer-aided drafting and design solutions • Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts. • Assist with preparing and revising permit & plot drawings. • Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures. • Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline. • Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects. • Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs. • Assist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts. • Research solutions to project concerns and recommend solutions to design problems. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Comply with all policies and standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Requirements:• Associates Degree • Course work in drafting technology Required or specialized CAD certification Required. • Having AutoCAD and/or Micro-Station experience is a plus. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. • Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. • Demonstrated leadership skills. • Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
