Job Description

This role focuses on assembling, testing, and packaging electro-mechanical products in a lean manufacturing, production cell environment. You work with small parts, hand tools, and basic electronic testing to build high-quality products according to visual and written work instructions, while supporting smooth material flow and shipment preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electro-mechanical products using hand tools, small parts, and established work instructions.
  • Perform basic go/no-go testing of circuit boards to verify proper functionality.
  • Carry out wire bonding and RF soldering on sub-assemblies as required.
  • Follow visual and written work instructions to add customer-specific components to assemblies.
  • Package finished products accurately and stage them for shipping.
  • Notify material handlers promptly when part shortages or material issues arise.
  • Work efficiently in a lean manufacturing, kanban-based production cell environment.
  • Rotate between different teams and work cells as needed to support production demands.
  • Use a computer to access work instructions, record data, and complete basic production-related tasks.
  • Lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds safely throughout the shift.
  • Stand for extended periods, including up to a full shift, while performing assembly and production tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work area to protect sensitive components.
  • Follow all quality, safety, and production procedures consistently.

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on assembly experience, including working on assembly lines and production cells.
  • Ability to work with small parts and perform mechanical assembly with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency using basic hand tools in a production or assembly environment.
  • Experience with packaging and general production tasks.
  • Ability to perform basic soldering, including RF soldering for sub-assemblies.
  • Comfort working in a lean manufacturing environment with kanban processes.
  • Capability to lift up to 35 pounds safely and repeatedly.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, including up to a full shift.
  • Strong English understanding for reading and following visual and written work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for accessing instructions and entering production information.
  • Some experience in production involving small parts.
  • Ability to provide references covering the last five jobs or the past seven years of employment.

  • Experience working in an electro-mechanical assembly environment.
  • Familiarity with ESD-safe practices when handling sensitive electronic components.
  • Comfort working in a team-based, rotating cell environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality in assembly and testing work.
  • Reliability and consistency in meeting production and quality standards.
  • Willingness to adapt to different tasks and support multiple teams as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
