Process Engineering Technician
Job Description
We're seeking an Engineering Technician to support equipment setup, manufacturing projects, and process improvements in a regulated medical device environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work and wants to gain experience working alongside engineers on impactful manufacturing initiatives.
What You'll Do- Assemble and install manufacturing equipment using drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Build and wire electrical control panels and equipment components.
- Support equipment setup, testing, qualification, and validation activities.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment and wiring issues.
- Document work accurately and follow established quality procedures.
- Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support manufacturing operations.
- Associate degree, technical certification, or bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, or industrial equipment preferred.
- Ability to read or learn to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Experience with SolidWorks or a regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Work directly with experienced engineers and technicians.
- Gain hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and process validation.
- Develop valuable skills in medical device manufacturing and automation.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
