Nurse Recruiter (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Chicago, IL 60622 (Northwest Side)
Pay Rate: Up to $35/hour during contract period
Permanent Salary: $75,000-$80,000 annually
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, or 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
Work Environment: 100% Onsite
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Nurse Recruiter to join their growing Talent Acquisition team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recruitment professional with a strong background in clinical healthcare recruiting who enjoys building relationships, managing full-cycle recruitment, and helping healthcare organizations attract top nursing talent.

Responsibilities

• Manage an average of 15-20 requisitions focused on clinical nursing positions
• Source and recruit candidates utilizing UKG Pro and Indeed
• Conduct candidate phone screens and initial assessments
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers
• Extend employment offers and manage candidate communications throughout the hiring process
• Assist with pre-employment screenings, background checks, and onboarding activities
• Provide regular recruitment updates to hiring managers and key stakeholders
• Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data within the ATS
• Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of clinical healthcare recruiting experience required
• Proven experience recruiting for nursing and other clinical healthcare positions
• Experience managing multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment
• Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills
• Experience using ATS platforms, preferably UKG Pro
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with hiring managers and HR teams

Pay Details: $32.00 to $35.00 per hour
