Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated technician to assist in the moving and placement of equipment for a manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for uncrating and positioning machinery essential for battery production. This role requires a commitment to physical labor and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Unload, load, and unstuff cargoes from trailers or shipping containers.
  • Uncrate, crate, unpack, pack, and move cargoes using manual or powered hand tools and material handling equipment.
  • Relocate and rough set cargoes to designated locations on the production floor using manual or powered hand tools, manual toe jacks, and material handling equipment such as manual skates, dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in a labor-intensive role.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 certification.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in construction or physical labor.
  • Experience in operating forklifts, gradalls, or other lifts is a plus.
  • Ability to walk 10+ miles per day.
  • Ability to bend, crawl, and walk numerous times throughout the day.

Work Environment

Work within a Panasonic manufacturing facility, involving both indoor and outdoor material moving in a 2 million square foot setting. The environment is hot and non-climate controlled, requiring adaptability and resilience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of De Soto, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
