Industrial Painter
Job Description
Pay: $20-22 (based on experience, open to entry level)
Shift: 730a-4pm (Mon-Fri- dayshift)
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret work sheets and job jackets to fully understand job requirements, specifications, and instructions before starting work.
- Accurately document job details and production information in internal computer software to ensure proper tracking and quality records.
- Mix paint according to specifications and maintain spray equipment, participating in a weekly rotation to share this responsibility among team members.
- Handle all materials carefully to prevent damage, ensuring components, panels, and boards remain free from defects throughout the painting process.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times, following facility safety and housekeeping standards.
- Spray paint small parts and acrylic panels, including thorough surface preparation, paint mixing, and proper setup and operation of spray equipment.
- Spray paint small to medium-sized metal panels, including masking finishes as needed and ensuring even, consistent coverage.
- Work with both acrylic and metal panels, adjusting techniques and processes to suit different materials and finishes.
- Conduct paint prep activities such as sanding, masking, and detailing to ensure surfaces are properly prepared for coating.
- Use spray guns, paint booths, and related industrial painting equipment safely and effectively in a production environment.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience using spray guns for industrial painting applications.
- Experience with paint preparation, including sanding, masking, and detailing surfaces prior to painting.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications.
- Basic understanding of paint types, mixing ratios, and application techniques.
- Proficiency in using paint sprayers, spray guns, and related industrial painting tools.
- Capability to work in a production setting and follow established processes and work instructions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a paint booth environment with industrial paint and coatings.
- Experience with conformal coating of printed circuit boards, including masking and inspection.
- Ability to perform silk-screening and stencil work, including air brush techniques for part marking.
- Experience mixing paints and maintaining spray equipment to ensure consistent performance.
- Comfort working with both acrylic and metal panels and adapting techniques to different materials.
- Basic computer skills to enter job information into internal software systems.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Horsham, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
