Job Title: Material Handler - Night Shift

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Material Handler on the night shift, where you will coordinate the unloading and storage of incoming ingredient oils and perform sanitation duties in the tank farm areas. You will follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) to ensure proper food safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily schedule to efficiently manage the unloading and storage of incoming ingredient oils.
  • Perform sanitation duties on the tank farm areas.
  • Work daily on the rail line, connecting various piping systems to incoming tankers to safely and efficiently transfer materials into the plant.
  • Use mechanical skills and hand tools to manage hose fittings, valves, and transfer equipment.
  • Operate forklifts (sit-down or stand-up) to assist with material movement and support the transfer process as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical experience and aptitude.
  • Proficiency with hand tools.
  • Forklift experience (sit-down or stand-up).
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in material handling, general labor, unloading, and assembly.
  • Ability to climb on top of tankers, working at heights of approximately 10-15 feet.

Work Environment

This role involves working outdoors and in potentially adverse temperatures, including extreme heat, cold, and humidity. You may be exposed to vibrations, chemicals, fumes, and food allergens such as soy and dairy. The position may require working in confined, dark spaces and at heights exceeding 18 feet. Our team operates on a 5pm-5am, 2/2/3 schedule, providing a structured and supportive work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.81 - $22.81/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
