Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer / Quality Lead to take ownership of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, and Quality Plan development for a high-visibility program. This individual will serve as the primary quality subject matter expert, working directly with the customer, manufacturing contractors, and internal engineering teams to drive quality initiatives from development through production.

Key Responsibilities

    • DFMEA (Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis)
    • PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis)
    • Control Plans
    • Quality Plans
  • Act as the primary quality representative between customers, manufacturing partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive risk identification, mitigation planning, and corrective actions throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support manufacturing readiness and process validation efforts.
  • Ensure quality requirements are incorporated into product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and implement practical solutions in fast-paced environments.
Program Overview

  • Original materials are no longer available.
  • Components can no longer be manufactured as originally designed.

  • Existing documentation requires modernization and risk analysis before production can occur.

This individual will help evaluate those risks and build the quality systems needed to successfully transition products into modern production environments.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Be a true subject matter expert in DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Quality Systems.

  • Be comfortable operating with limited information and ambiguity.
  • Take ownership of problems and proactively drive solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong risk assessment and risk mitigation capabilities.
  • Be a self-starter capable of leading initiatives independently.

Important: In this environment, "I don't know" is rarely an acceptable final answer. The expectation is to investigate, collaborate, and propose solutions even when information is incomplete.
