Job Description
Join a leading supplier of building materials as an Excavator Operator, where you will be an essential part of our dynamic team. Your role will involve operating and maintaining heavy equipment to contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
- Follow site plans and instructions from supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.
- Proven competency in operating and maintaining relevant equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and instructions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical capability to handle the demands of the job.
- Prior experience in a construction or similar setting.
- Ability to learn and take direction.
- Reliable transportation.
- Experience with heavy equipment such as excavators and dozers.
- Experience with sweeping tasks.
- Relevant construction materials and production knowledge.
- OSHA certification.

Work EnvironmentThe role primarily operates in environments with moving mechanical equipment and variable weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. The position is based onsite at Jamesville Quarry, with shifts running from Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Syracuse, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $47840.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
