Job Description

This role involves operating powered industrial trucks and order pickers to accurately pick, move, and store inventory in a busy warehouse environment in Wind Gap, PA. You will work at elevated heights, use RF scanners and warehouse management systems, and help maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity while supporting daily distribution and fulfillment operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate powered industrial trucks, including order pickers, reach trucks, and other PIT equipment, to safely pick, move, and store products throughout the warehouse.
  • Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately locate, pick, and record inventory movements.
  • Work at elevated heights, up to approximately 30–40 feet, to pick and store products in racking systems.
  • Perform general labor and order picking tasks, including loading, unloading, and staging materials as needed.
  • Handle pallets and materials using pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory by following established inventory control procedures and verifying product counts.
  • Follow all warehouse operating procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 50–100 pounds while working in a fast-paced setting.
  • Support warehouse, distribution, logistics, or fulfillment operations by meeting productivity and quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete daily assignments and resolve issues related to inventory accuracy and product flow.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience operating a powered industrial truck (PIT), such as an order picker, reach truck, or similar equipment in a warehouse environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely at elevated heights up to approximately 30–40 feet.
  • Proficiency using RF scanners and familiarity with warehouse management or inventory systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on inventory accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to lift and move 50–100 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
  • Experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, or fulfillment operations.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift continuously during the workday.
  • Strong attendance, reliability, and dependability.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to warehouse operating procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain or maintain certification for powered industrial truck and order picker equipment.
  • Experience using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
  • Experience in inventory control and warehouse inventory processes.
  • Familiarity with unloading and material handling in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Work Environment

This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. within a large warehouse and distribution facility. The climate may vary by work area and season, and you will spend most of the shift standing, walking, bending, and lifting. The environment is fast-paced with defined productivity expectations and a strong focus on accuracy and customer satisfaction. You will regularly use RF scanners, pallet jacks, carts, and other warehouse equipment. Safety shoes or steel-toe footwear may be required, and you will work closely with a collaborative team in a structured, safety-focused setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wind Gap, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
