Bim Coordinator

Join our dynamic team to create and manage detailed MEP BIM models and engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. You will coordinate with engineers, designers, and field teams to ensure seamless project execution and review and resolve clashes in coordination with other trades. Your role will involve coordinating shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-builts for field installation, ensuring compliance with design standards, tolerances, and specifications. Additionally, you will assist in training and mentoring junior designers/drafters and provide technical support to field teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Create and manage detailed MEP BIM models and engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and field teams for seamless project execution.
• Review and resolve clashes in coordination with other trades.
• Coordinate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-builts for field installation.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, tolerances, and specifications.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior designers/drafters.
• Provide technical support to field teams for smooth project delivery.

• 2+ years of experience in HVAC BIM/VDC coordination.
• Proficiency in Revit for BIM coordination.
• Full knowledge of HVAC systems with field experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings across multiple disciplines.

• Autodesk/Revit accreditation or completion of an accredited CAD/BIM program.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, sheet metal, and piping layout.
• Experience with clash detection and reporting.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team setting.

The office in Whippany, NJ, operates with typical hours from 7 am to 4:30 pm, five days a week. You will be sitting with the MEP/design team, working directly with internal teams and the outsourced drafting team in India. Excellent communication skills are essential. This is a Permanent position based out of Morris Plains, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
