Printer Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Printer Operator to join our team on a 1st shift schedule from 7am to 7pm, following a 4x2 rotating schedule, including working every other weekend. The position offers a competitive pay rate based on experience.
Responsibilities- Read job specifications and procure all applicable tooling.
- Set up printing equipment to accommodate job orders and specifications for the production run.
- Conduct ongoing visual inspections of the machine for leaks, loose belts, and other issues according to the checklist.
- Troubleshoot printing equipment and perform adjustments as needed to meet customer specifications.
- Perform checks for compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and promptly report equipment malfunctions, material, safety, and quality issues to supervisors.
- Complete production and quality control worksheets accurately.
- Perform line clearance procedures in the event of a product change.
- Perform clearance procedures for shift changeovers.
- Comply with company personnel and safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Perform special projects and assignments as directed by supervisory personnel.
- Observe the operation of the machine and verify conformance of machined workpiece to specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in production, blueprint reading, and machine operating.
- Proficiency with calipers, hand tools, inspection, and inserter machines.
- At least 1 year of college technical certificate or 6+ months of printing/manufacturing experience.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytic, mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience with press brake, tape measure, and punch press.
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Previous tube manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Capability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, and to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Strong analytical skills with problem-solving abilities and facilitation in both individual and group settings.
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
