Job Description

This role focuses on welding and fabricating metal parts according to detailed blueprint specifications. You will fit and weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals using MIG, TIG, flux-core, and stick processes while maintaining high quality standards, precise measurements, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and follow blueprints and weld symbols to produce accurate and high-quality welded assemblies.
  • Fit and weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal components using MIG, TIG, flux-core, and stick welding processes.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment and measurement tools to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances.
  • Inspect welds visually and with measurement tools to verify quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
  • Perform sheet metal and fabrication work, including cutting, fitting, and assembling parts before welding.
  • Maintain a proactive safety mindset by using appropriate personal protective equipment and following shop safety procedures.
  • Handle repetitive tasks and physical activities throughout the shift while maintaining attention to detail and consistency.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to support efficient and safe operations.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to pass a 1G/2G weld test
  • TIG welding experience of at least 2 years
  • Proficiency in MIG welding, with 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.
  • Skilled in using measurement tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Experience welding stainless steel and other metals using various processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Sheet metal experience of at least 1 year
  • Fabrication experience of at least 1 year
  • Welding certification
  • Experience working with diverse metal parts and complex assemblies.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and physical work throughout the shift.

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing shop environment with regular exposure to noise, dust, and operating machinery. The position involves repetitive tasks, standing, bending, and other physical activities throughout the shift while working with welding equipment, metal materials, and measurement tools in a production setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $58240.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
