Job Description / Responsibilities
- Work with extrusion blow molds and related parts
- Our machinists may perform work such as disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly of molds
- Our machinists may use equipment such as mills, drill presses, sand blasters, and metal finishing tools
- Use basic hand tools such as Allen wrenches, hammers, and screwdrivers
- Work in a low-volume, high-quality manufacturing environment focused on precision work
- Machine parts to required specifications and tolerances
- Read and follow blueprints, written instructions, and verbal instructions
- Use indicators, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
- All new hires train on 1st shift (7:00 AM start). Flexibility for future 2nd or 3rd shift opportunities is a plus as we continue building our off-shift teams
Qualifications
- Experience in any of the following areas is helpful, but not required: Machinist, Toolmaker, Moldmaker, Tool & Die Maker, Mold Repair Technician, precision manufacturing, molds and tooling-related machining, or similar toolroom / mold repair roles
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
- Strong basic math skills
- Comfortable using basic hand tools
- Some tools required (tool purchase program available)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally (hoists available throughout the shop)
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 40+ hours per week
