Onsite IT Migration Technician / Desktop Support (Contract-to-Hire)

TCGi is hiring onsite support technicians to provide short-duration, desk-side coverage for a wave-based user migration for a confidential healthcare client across western Connecticut and the Hudson Valley, New York region. This is hands-on, user-facing work: you'll meet employees at their desks, walk them through the transition to a new device and account environment, and confirm everything is working before you move to the next user. A detailed runbook, a tracker, a briefing call, and an onsite lead are provided — you bring the technical skill and the professionalism to work calmly in a clinical setting.

The engagement runs from mid-September through the end of October, with scheduled work days Tuesday through Saturday.

Following this initial project, TCGi expects continued demand for technical support across our client base. Candidates who perform well during this engagement may be considered for future full-time roles as they become available.

What You'll Do

• Meet each user at their workstation on their scheduled migration date.

• Confirm the first successful sign-in on the newly migrated device.

• Complete Intune enrollment on the new tenant, confirmed through to completion.

• Confirm first sign-in to the new mail environment and verify mail and calendar are present.

• Complete mobile device enrollment for users in scope.

• Support VIP and executive users in person on the day — no deferring these to remote support.

• Log the outcome for every user in the provided tracker and escalate exceptions to the onsite lead.
